Farewell to Dr Grant and Charlie


Linwood Medical Centre is sad to say farewell to two great staff members today.
Dr Grant has been a cornerstone of the staff over the past 5 years. With over 1,000 patients under his care, Grant has proven to be a dedicated GP to the Linwood community.
Grant and his family will be leaving for their next adventure soon as he, his wife, and his two boys move to Dubai.

Community Service Card Discount

Beginning 3 December, patients enrolled at Linwood Medical Centre and who hold a Community Services Card will be eligible for discounted visits.
Patients ages 14-17 (dependants of CSC holders) will be charged $12.50 and adults will be charged $18.50. Free children visits will be extended to include all patients under 14 years old.

Linwood Medical Centre working with Nurse Maude

In October 2017, the Linwood Medical Centre began a collaborative project with Nurse Maude to begin using 1CHART to electronically track medication administration orders.
This trial effort has been quite successful and now Nurse Maude is approaching more practices on Christchurch’s east side to begin using the web-based software.
