After graduating from Unitec in 1994 with an associate degree in Architecture, I worked for Team New Zealand in their successful 1995 America’s Cup challenge as a draftsman and sailor. I then moved to San Diego for six years where I worked on the design of America’s Cup class yachts for Dennis Conner.
During this period I also designed and sailed on several racing yachts including boats for Mr Disney, the owner of the Walt Disney Corporation. In 2009 a New Zealand owned 100 foot super maxi, Alfa Romeo, that I helped design won the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
In 2004 I moved back to New Zealand to study medicine at the University of Auckland where I graduated in 2009. During my training I also worked as a volunteer Paramedic with St John. After working as an ENT and Cardiothoracic Registrar in Wellington, I joined the GP training program. In 2012 I moved to Christchurch. I have a particular interest in Minor Surgery, Vasectomies and Dermoscopy.
